Just in time for Halloween, Smash Karts unleashes its Season 4 update, “Dead End,” featuring terrifyingly fun new characters, including the Grim Reaper, Slimey, and Pennywinkle. This season introduces the “Spooky Spinner,” a mechanic that dishes out Halloween-themed prizes, as well as a new max player feature, supporting 1v1 battles and extending the arena player count to 24 participants.
How to Play Smash Karts
Smash Karts is a driving game that’s easy to pick up, with simple controls that delegate most complex driving mechanics to just a few buttons. You can play with both the keyboard and Xbox-style controller. The goal of the game depends on the Game Mode, but the classic is Free For All, where you drive into Loot Boxes to get weapons and use them to eliminate the other karts.
Smash Karts Weapons
A key collectible in Smash Karts is weapons, which you’ll get by driving into Loot Boxes scattered around the arena. There are three types of weapons: Offensive, Defensive, and Traps. You can only have one weapon at a time, and you can’t replace your current weapon until it’s been used.
Smash Karts Game Modes
The base mode in Smash Karts is Deathmatch, but you can unlock others by playing more matches and leveling up. The current Game Modes available are Gem Collector, Hat Holder, Capture the Flag, Teams, Score Target, and Time Limit.
Customize Your Driver and Match
As an online game, Smash Karts offers options to customize your player characters and even host your own match. To change your driver’s head, kart, and/or hats, just click on Customize on the left side of the screen. To create your own match, click Create underneath the Play button and choose the settings for your game.
