Unfortunately, not everyone can be the star of the show, and some cubes will need to be “painted out” to make way for others.
Paper IO 2 has taken the series to new heights with its bigger size, dazzling graphics, and enhanced player support. The core gameplay remains the same, with the fun and creative freedom to paint large areas with a variety of colors. You can even collaborate with other cubes to create stunning works of art, but be prepared for a little friendly competition along the way.
So, how do you play? Paper IO 2 is a 3D isometric competitive game where you control a cube using your mouse or keyboard. You’ll steer the cube using the WASD/Arrow Keys or mouse cursor, and the goal is to paint the majority of the canvas and stay at the top of the rankings.
Before you start, you can customize your cube with a name and style, choosing from a single color or a pattern that will bring your trail to life. When the game begins, your cube will spawn in an empty space with a section already painted, and you’ll need to lead it to create a trail and then close it by returning to the solid painted area. Be careful, as you can safely paint over different-colored areas, but if another cube touches your trail or you run over it yourself, you’ll be destroyed and need to start again. You can also eliminate other cubes by running over their trails.
Here are some tips to help you succeed:
- If you spawn in the middle of other painted areas, start small and gradually spread outwards in a pattern.
- If you spawn away from the center, take advantage of the untouched canvas before going after other cubes.
